who am I to tell you that this program will be different?

I’m glad you asked. This is actually the exact same program I went through after my Major League Baseball career ended.

In my “prime” as a major league pitcher, I was not well. My body hurt. I found myself, at 28 years old and 3 surgeries later, chronically fatigued, in constant pain, and putting on unhealthy weight no matter how hard I worked. It was exhausting.

To an outsider, maybe I looked lazy, but my teammates knew how diligently I worked. I remember specifically waking up one morning, two weeks out from an elbow and knee surgery, and getting out of bed. My feet hit the floor and sharp pain shot through my back. This wasn’t uncommon for me. I looked down at my feet and could barely see my toes. I was 40 pounds overweight.

This was my wake-up call. It was time to stop doing what I “thought” I should be doing. It was time to take a different approach.

What I wanted more than anything was to get back to pitching in the Big Leagues, but what I found was a new passion for optimized health and a new zest for life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

I’m not local to the Dallas area, how can I benefit from the Lifestyle Coaching program?

This program can operate as completely virtual.  We accomplish a great deal through text message, email, and video calls.  The only part of the program that cannot be completed virtually at this time is the Epigenetic Analysis and the Body Composition Analysis.

I already eat healthy and exercise regularly, can I benefit at all from this program?

Absolutely! We are not after good, we want you to be at your best.  Having a deep understanding of your genetics can go a long way in helping you reach optimal health.  In the end, health is more than just eating good and exercising, it’s about prevention.  Beyond that, we can help you reach any performance aspirations that you may have.


Ongoing communication and accountability is what makes this program successful.  You will usually hear from us a few times per week with reminders, encouraging notes, and insights into data points we come across.  If we aren’t best friends by the end of 12 months, we did something wrong!

I have had health issues for the longest time and doctors don’t seem to know what’s wrong with me, can you help?

Tolleson Health Advisors is not a replacement for your physician.  We cannot give you medical advice, but we can “treat” you with “lifestyle medicine” like food, exercise, better sleep, removing toxins, and other biohacks.  We use Oura Rings to track sleep, recovery, and activity each day.  We utilize advanced epigenetic analysis using hair samples.  We run genetic reports on each client.  We even use continuous blood glucose monitoring to get real-time feedback on the foods we eat.
